Bonnie Natko is an event and portrait photographer based on Long Island and Brooklyn. A native New Yorker, she is fascinated with the energy and diversity that the city offers and her main objective is to document these slices of life.
Being an event photographer, Bonnie finds great joy in “hunting the moment.” From corporate events and marketing campaigns to parties and gatherings, she grasps the spirit of each event. Bonnie has shot events such as the prestigious One Show, Art Directors Club Gala, and New York Festivals for DesignTaxi, a global advertising and design news service. She also works with experiential and event marketing firms to capture their guerilla and ambient campaigns.
Bonnie is also an accomplished portrait and street photographer. She was recently commissioned by a book production company to shoot one of the many subjects of their book based on her photojournalistic style. In addition to this, Bonnie has worked with many musicians, performance artists, and individuals in need of headshots.
Her street photography, documenting gentrification and urban studies has been featured on several news blogs including The Brooklyn Record, Brownstoner, Curbed, and NowPublic.com - a citizen journalism news source. Her solo exhibit, “Urbania” was on display at Cafecito in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 2007 and was part of the group show "Timeless" at Gallery 364 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
Bonnie has 2 published books of her urban still life and photojournalism works: "Urbania" and "Under Observation."
